Email is also popular with every mobile phone carrier. Technology is getting better and better everyday. The only catch is that only certain phones are email compatable. The phones are as followed: Blackberry, Treo, Iphone, Blackjack, and The Palm, just to name a few.
Can you imagine life without email? What do you think one's general reaction would be? Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! How do you think businesses would respond to not having email? Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!! That should sum it up. I think that everything and everyone would be blank because we are now so dependent on email. Email is one of the common way that our society communicates. Businesses general response would be negative. You have some businesses that generally depends on emails as a way and/or means of marketing. To sum up, life without email would be hard to live because email beganned as a luxury but is now a necessity.
Email in the workplace is a great way to send necessary information between workers. It is very helpful and useful in the business world. It is also a vital communication tool used to solve many workplace problems. Sometimes it is impossible to pick up the phone to get a point or message across. Now that email is in the picture, one can shoot over a message instantly. But there are downfalls to having email in the workplace. Some employees tend to abuse the internet/email policy by sending and receiving chain messages that are not relevant to the workplace or work environment.
Hotmail formerly known as MSN hotmail is a free web mail service offered by Microsoft. It too was also one of the first free web mail services. Gmail "aka" Google mail is a webmail email service offered by google. Initially gmail beganed as invite only, but in February 2007 it became open to the public. Gmail now offers over 7000 MB of free storage and paid additional storage for $20 a year (from 10GB) and for $500 a year (up to 400GB). Gmail supports extras in email addresses such as + (username+etratext@gmail.com). This allows users to have several different aliases with gmail. Gmail also allows the user to add other email accounts to be used as optional senders addresses on outgoing email. Gmail also offers "Mail Fetcher" which allows users to add up to five additional accounts to retrieve mail from via POP3.
Yahoo mail is an email service offered by Yahoo. It is the most used email service today. Yahoo mail offers two different versions which are an Outlook-like Ajax and its Yahoo! Mail Classic. The new yahoo mail features include yahoo calender integration, yahoo messenger integration, sms messaging (in certain countries), keyboard shortcuts, unlimited storage, and improved search facilities. The Yahoo! Mail Classic features include unlimited mail storage, 10 MB attachments, protection against spam and viruses, advertising is displayed on the screen while working with the email account, accounts not logged into for four months get deactivated, and the lists goes on and on.
Email is one of the most common forms of communication we have in the world today. It is very useful because it is very simple and has its advantages. Email has also changed the way we do business. Email is inexpensive. There are several different web-based, webmail service providers that offers email for free. Email is fast because it is delivered instantly. Email is also private. It is rare that an email with the correct address is sent to the wrong recipient. There is a high level of protection when transmittig email. Email is also a good way for a company to market its products and services. So to answer the questions useful or not, I say useful. Email is inexpensive, fast, secure, and a great way to market!
